2011-12 Season Tryouts

Come prepared to work hard and have fun!

Parents/Players please read below from HOA

TO ALL PARENTS OF JUNIOR VOLLEYBALL PLAYERS
- - - updated 2011-09-02 16:48
This summer has been more than ever a period of rumors on illegal recruitment. We are getting more and more the impression that some clubs have violated the non-recruitment period that ended September 1. We hope that parents of volleyball players who have been recruited during that period, ask themselves the question if they want their daughter to play for a club that has no hesitation in violating rules, that are created to protect the interest of the volleyball community as a whole. We like to think that the last thing parents want to do is to teach their children the lesson that it is ok to lie and cheat to be part of a sports club. What can you expect, as an individual from a club like that? Do you want to be part of a club that is willing to violate rules and run the risk of sanctions that may affect your daughter for their short term interest? Are they going to be loyal to you when they no longer need you?

We also want to make clear that it has never been the intent of HOA that there be commitment letters written between clubs and non-returning players, in the period before the actual tryout dates. We hope no parents feel pressured to participate in these actions. Even though we have now entered the period in which clubs can actively recruit players, we are not in a period of commitment yet.

HOA does not recognize any agreement between players/parents and clubs that exist before the actual tryout period. After the tryouts, the club can use the HOA Letter of Commitment as an official agreement. That is the only document, IF SIGNED AFTER THE FIRST ALLOWED TRYOUT DATE, we recognize.
If you are being asked to sign this form earlier and date it back, you are dealing with a club without any ethics in regards to HOA rules and the integrity of the sport of volleyball.

If we can all cooperate, all individuals involved, club reps, coaches, parents and players can all have a great season.
